Pinch Valves
Unlike other valve types, the sleeve inside the valve comes into contact with the fluid. Long service life, reliability, safety, and resistance to aggressive and corrosive media, combined with the excellent control quality of the integrated positioner, create an ideal control valve with minimal maintenance and low operating costs.
Schubert & Salzer pinch valves, pneumatically or motor-operated, are a real alternative for applications in the chemical industry, cosmetics, environmental technology, and water treatment, as well as in electroplating and the food and beverage industry. The pinch valve for endless pipes offers a modern alternative to traditional pinch and diaphragm valves. The pinch valve can be used in any position in an endless pipe for on/off and control operations. Because there is no dead space, the highest hygienic demands can be met.
For applications requiring less hygienic conditions, a hose-mounted pinch valve is available and is permanently integrated into pipelines. Here too, the entire design can be used in food-related and sterile processes. These valves are also perfectly suited for applications involving contaminated, corrosive, and viscous liquids.

Pinch Valve Design and Sleeve Selection
Pinch valves are low-dead-space shutoff valves and are also insensitive to dirty, corrosive, and pasty media. Their passageways are unobstructed, eliminating any constrictions that could accelerate flow. Consequently, there is no flow diversion. Their hygienic design and simple design principle, utilizing FDA-compliant sleeve materials, offer a real alternative for users in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
